Award-winning 'Lifting Aspirations' KS2-4 workshops now booking for March 13-22nd 2015

‘Lifting Aspirations and Accessing Engineering’ is an education programme designed by engineers to engage young people from key stages 2-4 to explore real life applications of scientific principles in a fun and practical way.Teams of young people will work with engineering ambassadors, experienced in  robotics and lifting and access, to build and then compete with an hydraulic arm.

Bristol based workshops on the MV Balmoral from the 13th -22nd March

Young people will be able to operate the Harbourside’s iconic Cargo Cranes, access the historic Steam Crane, and see the progression by watching demonstrations of modern ‘lifting and access’ technology.

The project won the award for best Engineering Programme in British Science Week in 2014 and has taken place in schools, science parks and museums across the UK.

The event is supported by English Heritage and British Science Association which will reduce the cost for schools.
